Nice thread DJ. 
Really bring back some good memories. I'm sure Rev could post for weeks on this topic. He's forgotten more about bikes than most of know!
I remember when my first road bike had a kick start, points and a metal front number plate...
(Honda CB360) It also had murals on the petrol tank... 
I remember back in 1984 when I bought my first fuel injected bike. I said then that a faster bike would never be made. Ha! (It was a Kawa GPZ 1100) Had some power, but what a crap frame.......
Now I've owned a bike longer than any other in my life and I still love it? No. Not the Honda C90 the other bike! (02 cheesecake Busa)
