if your only wanting to stop the backfire ..
Easy to repin the harness for use on a later ecu, and the ecu is easy to find... but the rotor is a lot more difficult to locate... going to have the same problem finding someone willing or competent in the new reflashing software, i would hope some tuning shops take this on as it allows many tuning features only available on top standalone ecu's.
If you reflash an Aussie ecu with the supplied bin files you convert it to US specs anyway, so the difference in the ecu's doesn't matter, you will be tuning it to your bike..
Thank's for the reply legend. I have done the pair valve but havn't ridden it yet (off the road for a spray job).Maj your right about the magneto rotor (rare as fukin rockinghorse shit) found 2 only on usa ebay $350.00 or $375 aust inc freight. Got one from vic m/c wreckers $250.00. only one they had.lucky to get it because they had just binned a motor.(dosn't happen often ).now i need to get an ecu & interface & an expert.
