I'd like to offer some advice Phil but the service manual that I have does not mention anything other then the torque specs.
Others who have actually removed their sprocket should be able to help you.
(The correct torque is 145nm or 105ft/lb for retightening)
Some of our members seem to know much more than those who right the service manuals so you should be assisted promptly.
I do suspect that it is a normal right hand thread though, otherwise it would be undoing itself as you ride along.
