I too have tons of both and love them both as well.
However, I have an immaculate copy of Dark Side of the Moon in both Quadraphonic vinyl and Super Audio CD.
There is so much more you can hear on the SACD version that you simply cannot hear on the vinyl that I don't think anybody could argue in favour of the vinyl if they hear the difference.
I simply could not replace most of my old vinyls and will continue to play them. Some of the most loved are also a bit scratched these days though. They do wear out.
There is nothing worse than buying a cd only to hear that it is simply a recording of an old vinyl album with all the pops and shit.
