Has this ever happened to you?

I had something similar, only it was one of those tawney frogmouths. I was on my way to work early one morning about 8 years ago, doing about 120kph, when this grey blob came out of nowhere. I spotted it in time to duck, but it collected the side of my helmet. Luckily I didn't loose consciousness, or fall off. Scared the shit out of me though.

I also went back looking for the bird, which appeared to have vanished, not even a pile of feathers left.

I hope one day you can look back and laugh, I still can't.
