Oh dear!
I did the above, replaced seal, and bought and installed the clutch dust cover. No big deal or cost except the out diameter of the dust seal doesn't locate as well as it might on later models?
I too have heavier springs (part of Shnitz BLT mod). I also had bad experience with the supports (see other threads) and personally, I think it's a waste of money. I can still detect flex.
I think the best solution is a billet cover, just can't afford one yet. One reason why I will stick to clutchless changes at the drags for the immediate future so the cover doesn't work too hard.
