multi threading pent 4

Run the Gimp on my P4 3.4 (under linux) with hyperthreading active and have no problems.
Also Run it on my Laptop (Centrino Duo, Linux again) without probs.

Actually prefer to use it to PS but whatever rocks your boat.
Can't say that it would be OK if you're running Microsloth, and considering how resource hungry winblows is, do what Bill reccomends and just add more ram.....

i hear ya slowandsteady.
it was suggested to disable multithreading when installing the windows version of Gimp.

The three seperate windows put me off right away.
Is there a way to merge them?
I couldnt see it in preferences...
