Lane splitting

If you state that you were only passing cars whilst stationary on your left side, ie you overtook cars yet stayed on the same lane, I believe they cant do you for that. But if you admit or seen to be overtaking cars on their inside ie. on the left side of the cars in his lane, then your breaking the law. So point to remember is I was only overtaking cars in my own lane whilst they were stationary.
