Aussie Speeding Fines

I have a brother that has his own way of getting out of speeding fines. He drives a semi/b-double and never fills his log book in.
When pulled over for speeding he is friendly and chatty with the highway patrol boys.
They nearly always agree with him that it's just revenue raising, so they book him for not having his log book filled in. Same amount of money but no points lost and no traffic infringment noted.
Just an unavoidable cost of doin' the job! - He's been doin it for over 10 years now.
