what it wont do...much like abs/traction/lean angle control...is help the kid learn...to evade, to ride, to survive...

I ride an all black, I blend in more than i'd like at times, i'm sure I do, but for the 1 in 20 situations where high vis might have helped me, my years of riding experience have helped me MORE.

thas my 2c worth.

Maybe the diesel bowser should have been wearing a hi-vis vest .. Icon_rolleyes

Steve, I associate blue light / police signage with "Alert !!, loss of licence !!, loss of money !!, loss of busa !! ..

I associate hi-vis vest with "Postman" ..

I assume cage drivers to be the same as me .. (just not as intelligent or as good looking Coolsmiley)

Yeah probably right Dale...but still an amazing sudden ability of attention when it comes to possible punitive action.

For those poor bastards it would come down to being fined. And yet for us it's highway robbery plus being mangled not to mention the worser possibility!!.I,m sure if we hit a pedestrian or a car driver they would be calling for the death penalty, yet it is all right to flatten us,WTF: Bring on advanced driver training for every one. If it's ok to train truckies then it should be mandatory for these other arse clowns

but hang a minute
Has nobody else twigged that new riders are to be forbidden using a mobile phone whilst riding.
using a mobile on a bike FFS. there would be an oh so obvious sign that the drafters of this ridiculous drivel have no idea at all.
when was the last time you saw somebody with a mobile pressed to the side of their helmet I ask ya.
usual Gubbermint woftam

This was written by a bunch of tossers (red wine crackers and cheese group) not to mention the other clowns in that department that would be guilty of talking on the phone/ texting whilst driving, not to mention what other dodgy shit there up to at the time

I have seen riders playing with both a phone and a GPS while on the move... And kre and more it will happen. We put phone holders on our bikes and Bluetooth connections.... Yes hands free is okay but who wouldn't get tempted to "fiddle" with the mounted phone while traversing traffic??

Then there is the red light texters and song shufflers.... While us that grew up without the life saving mobile understand its not that important this generation cannot go 5 min without touching their phone no matter what they are doing

You're so right there ratty.. The older riders get their phones out faster than curry through chickens lol... Check txt, rearrange songs, make calls, synch GPS, take pics and god knows what else at every stop... But I think they are more used to thinking/planning past 5 min down the road without techno interbention

It is amazing, generally, how a more careful driver you tend to be having ridden. Perhaps a few months or so on a low powered bike in traffic for these losers who cannot or will not see motorcycles no matter the cause.

Well landmine most days I'd agree with you on the training front to being a money maker. After spending ridiculous amounts of time operating large farming machines and to a bigger extent in semi,s you get to know by sight what clowns are around you and some times half predict the stupidity that's about to happen. What I meant by training is what the Europeans do and that's to get people into some f$#ked up situations and learn to control them in a good practical way.also till they spend time on a bike or in a truck to see what goes on and you get a different perspective from both, usually it shows that most cage drivers are more often than not more dangerous than half the crooks that are looked up in oz.I do agree with you though that experience counts you have to look out for no 1 first and foremost legal or not .

G'day
I tend to think our training is arse about.
16 year olds should be getting their bike Ls after stay upright or something similar, not their car Ls.
Then they could get car Ls at 17 having spent a year learning roadcraft and defensive riding/driving.
I could go on at length about other benefits, but I won't bore you :)
Regards
Kevin
