All the best for a speedy recovery. I have a mate that was hit by a bike last year while getting out of a taxi. His arm is the same, can't really use it, slowly getting feeling back to it though.

As for the biker, after he clipped my mate, he lost control and went into a tree, killing himself instantly. Running from the cops for the second time in that night, he was one day off turning 35 from memory.
