Another Polish mate of mine's first bike was a Cossack, needed much room for a 3 point turn on a highway haha

That was probably Russian build bike with a side car and known also as Ural. Apparently they were imported to Australia until 1976.

One of his sons branched off on his own and built the Matchy. I never fell off. The old saying was if you go around Australia on a Matchless, you'll come back with a B.S.A. (bloody sore arse)

My first bike was an RM80B that was a share with my younger brother we rode the wheels off it and had the frame re-braised several times as we kept breaking it from jumping, we also rode an RV90 at our families holiday shack at Wedge Island near Lancelin in WA. The first bike I ever laid down my hard earned for was a 1978 YZ 125 in 1981. First road bike was a CB360 twin that was a really great little bike until I crashed it, my mate had an RD400 and man could that thing go, they were the bikes to have at that time light and fast nothing else could touch em through the first 3 gears, ha ha I would like to get my hands on restorable models of all those early bikes we/I had and re-live my childhood ha ha
thanks for the memory reminder guys and keep it coming!

Suzuki blood. '79 GS400. Got it off the neighbour in '87 and kept it at a mates place so the parents didn't find out. Was a good old thing and kick start as well as electric. Very handy when you have battery problem! Now got '83 Katana 1100 and '99 Hayabusa (and '85 gpz600r as project).

Yeah Max, still here, still riding K1200s & having a ball on a couple of old Trumpys. (66 Bonnie 58 T110) The old bike bug has bitten hard, currently got a 75 Trident T160 lined up, hope it comes off.
Had a ride on a mates FireBlade recently................ Saw GDYUP about 9 months ago, he's swanning around in an old Chev BelAire like a rat with a gold tooth. He's prolly sold his busa on the sly for all I know !
