Very sad! And even though the temp is down the danger is still very high! Hope all is well with you Dave (Arthur Dunga) I've tried your home and mobile, they go straight to message bank!!!!

We awoke this morning to the tragic news of so much disaster happening around the state.
I really do hope that the damage can be kept to a minimum for today and that the great efforts by everyone down there can make a real difference.
"If time catches up with you. You're going too slow!"

On the way to my gig last night I was on the freeway and this FUCKWIT in a van just threw his butt out the window. At the time it was 45 degrees or so.
Some people just don't give a shit. I almost wanted to cut the prick off and punch him in the head. Deadbeats.

maybe donations of clothes since the weather has turned cold when we can get through to the area bought mother in law a caravan park type cabin so she can move in with us..its at beveridge near whittlesea. no idea if its still there or not now. maybe a sign the motherin law shouldnt move in..(just a lighter side thought)

Hope no one in the club was in the affected area's, i was sent to the Marysville /Buxton area on sat eve on a 12 hr shift (CFA) , bloody mess, initially lack of communication from locals about area detail, think they were shellshocked, and took us a while to get to know the area and where we were needed most, sometimes you couldn't even see 50 metres .
At least that hot wind is gone, fire will take a lot to stop but its much less dangerous now , probably end up like 06, and continue till there is a good rain..

Ironic that it has effected most of the Vics favourite riding areas too.
Not that that matters much in the scale of things. Appreciate your efforts Maj. To me the main reason people have perished is because they underestimated the speed of the fire. I have just sent an email to Neil Mitchell that I think the focus for future ad campaigns should be on the speed of fires. Something like the "how long it takes to stop" campaign from Vic Roads. If I knew that a fire can travel at say 120kph there is now way I would be hanging around. I think a lot may have thought ok I can move here or there to get away from things thinking it would travel like a grass fire. My 2 cents worth. I missed the TV coverage. This is on YouTube
Just horrifying, I know a man who perished on Saturday, Marcel owner of Z'couriers and partners with my current employer.
I was having are beer with him at our Xmas party. R.I.P Marcel ![]() Another friend of mine can't find her Mother, she's in her late 80's, they know her house is gone, but she's nowhere to be found as yet. Has anybody heard from Dave, I tried his number a few times, without any success. I hope he and his dogs are safe and Ok!
