Be carefull as it may not be that simple.
I think it is only plug & play on pre 2003 models as the later ones had a hazzard switch ![]() Did the European Busas have the light switches after 2003 or did they revert to the hazzard switch as well. ![]() Now Volvi may be able to scan some of the European eBay pages or have a contact to check wreckers over there but they are worth heaps S/H most of the time I read this online for the post 2003 busas but still would be worried about the hazzard wiring so you would have to know what you are doing & I take no responsibility for any damage you inflict on your bus ![]() If you examine the end of the right side pigtail, you will see a jumper wire that connects 2 pins. The Euro switch opens & closes this connection to turn the headlight on & off. so I'm thinking you take the jumper wire and connect to the switch if your busa is after 03. Cheers Darryl
Isn't it Ironic that my Favourite Stretch of Tarmac is called C.O.P.

Busdriver Wrote:If not, we can always put a switch in line to the headlight. Just have to remember to turn it on. Put a missile switch type cover on it and make it look fancy. Yep Busdriver has the best idea & do the relay at the time to protect the switch ![]()

What a hoot.
Rang the wrecker, and he hunted up a Suzuki switch block with a light switch on it. Don't know which model but there's a small fiiting that sort of crushes the cable where it enters the switch block and it has 9 x 14 on it. The original (99 model) had 9517 on it. I looked at a late model Bandit and it has the hazard switch where the light switch goes, so can't be used unless you want to get into serious wiring changes. The good news is that near the plug end, there's a heap of male and female connectors, which I assume can have a jumper inserted to make the switch work in any sort of country. Mine had a jumper fitted to keep the tail light on at all times the ignition was on. I removed the jumpers, and now I have a switch block that can turn off all lights (and no dash illumination either), or have the tail light and dash lights on (paired up), or the headlights on with the rest. Hardest part was doing the throttle cables!! If you always want to have the tail and dash lights on, leave the jumper in that connects the grey and orange/blue wires. Wooohoooooo |
