Just put a gen1 rim on,the rear rotor might be a bit small but you dont use the rear brake much at the drags anyway.

ask guido,he might sell you one?Pi_freak tlrs use the same wheel as a gen1 you might get one of those cheaper.I wouldnt use a shinko, they weigh too much, a supersport 190/50 tyre will be a kg lighter and the compound will have alot better cold grip, hence less burnouts and potentially a longer life.

You will be opening a can of worms Jamie, no rear brake different mounts, different hub & sprocket

you just need a spacer on the rhs of the wheel or you can pay $600 for one from a wrecker.

I say save yourself some money and go for a Gen1... besides, what could go wrong at 235km/h? Idiot2

(personally, I'd go a Gen 2 wheel just to make sure)

that i'm aware of ...you will need an entire gen 1 wheel.drive hub, brake mount spacers etc,
or gsxr1k from 01up will be a closer fit as long as the axle size hasn't changed.
have a close look at both setups and you will see why

Is $450 too much to pay for a GenII Gold rim in very good cond?
(Straight bike, replaced with polished)
Egos; everyone got one

Yep Maj probably would need the lot & weld a Gen1 brake bar on the swinging arm unless you can fabricate something else up.
This is a road going bike we are talking about

Not a pissing match here but speak to jamie at s@r pro hes already done it and yes it works at 240+km/hr no problems.Just for interest sake leonard has a honda 16" front wheel on quicksilver which does well over 300km/hr.Whos going to ring him and tell him hes endangering himself and others because its not an oem wheel? Idiot2 If its all a bit daunting $450 isnt too bad for a no muss no fuss option.

Jamie said the same thing... put a spacer on and shell fit.

he said a GenII wheel is lighter but expensive...
i was thinking of looking for some rims at a wreckers, but i ordered some BSTs instead

not... Frown dream on!
