Charity Raffle prizes sponsors and Winners
#1
I sent a PM to each vendor in our vendors area and received the following prizes at no cost to the club.

Heidi approached all major Suzuki dealers and Suzuki Australia with written letters on letterhead developed for the 10th anniversary Ride and received ONE (1) offer that being Mike Huston at Canberra Motorcycle Center. He can hold his head high as supporting the people who buy bikes and goods at his shops. Suzuki Australia started off enthusiastic but then declined to participate. We cannot call them the selfish names they deserve as we asked and they simply either didn't answer or as I have said above, they declined. I also sent emails and voice mails to Rapid Bikes inviting their participation and was given the same treatment - no answer at all. Maybe next year?

So the vendors we do business with on the Australian Hayabusa Club need to be a little bit proud of themselves for the donations they made below.

Easyriders Imports - Ray (Kawasuki)
20 liters of semi synthetic OLEON Oil
won by Bruce Boes (BMW riding mate of Steventh)

Pete's Pitstop - 2 x prizes
1 x HID kit 35 watt H7 5000k (low beam) won by Bazman
1 x Zero Gravity Double Bubble screen - won by Ward.

Power Bronze
1 x certificate to the value of $250 - won by Steve Veletera.

Van Driver
Rear brake reservoir - won by Steventh

Rob1016
1 x certificate to the value of $25. won by Les (Busdriver)

Tex, Jen and Bundy 4 x prizes.
2 power runs on Tex's Dyno - 1st won by Greeny and the 2nd by Mark
2 subscriptions to Super Street bike 1st won by Rod (Bazman s crazy mate riding the FJR1300, the 2nd by Coach (Steve)

Canberra Motorcycle Center
a $200 voucher - won by Robert Simpson (Simmo)

Busanova (Gerry)
1 x weekend accommodation - won by Rod of FJR1300 fame.

I put the bite on everyone to buy at least $10. worth of tickets each - $1 per ticket and we called the prizes from top to bottom. Half the money made will go to running the site while the remainder will go to Kids with Cancer. The receipts being $260 in total.

A huge thank you to Jen (1 armed bandit) for assisting me with the raffle.

Well done guys and thanks very much to the vendors for their prizes. We would appreciate you showing your gratitude accordingly at their vendoring businesses on the AHC.

Each prize winner was issued with a certificate donated by the donating vendor with the exception of Rob1016 who was out of town(country) for the function.

Regards all and thanks again.

Max and the Canberra Mob.

Well done to Max & the Canberra Mob ClapTrophy for putting in a fantastic effort organising a great raffle (as well as the rest of the w/end) and special thanks to all the club vendors, members and external businesses that donated prizes for the raffle....you guys are all true champions !!! ClapTrophy

As an individual, I am always keen to support any vendors & businesses that donate goods & services to events that help charities and good causes, and when I do....I always make sure I tell them why!

Well done to all the club members that turned up Clap to make this event truly special, and definately one to look forward to in the future (coz I've got a strange feeling this event is gonna get even bigger & better in the future) !!!

keep it fun,
bazman.

I'll post photos of all the winners (there are some good ones), when I get a chance this afternoon. In the meantime, I'll be sending a $130 donation in the club's name to Camp Quality, annd the rest to Volvi for on-going administration costs.

Thanks for all that donated, participated AND WON!

Winners are grinners!

Greeny waving around his dyno run. If Tex can dyno it from SA, then he is cleverer than I gave him credit for!

Steventh and BMW Bruce.

Max and Bazzman, BEST DAY EVER huh Bazzman?

I have no idea who this is, it is a bit dark. Could it be FJR Dude? Put your hand up if you recognise yourself.

Max and Coach.

Super Les, he wears his underpants on the OUTSIDE (and mercifully this weekend we didn't get to see them).

Simmo and his $200 gift voucher from Canberra.

Max and Bazzman again, with a guest appearance from Valletra's mate. Bigggest grin I've ever seen! Wonder what happens when he's not having fun.

Steve Valletra, road all the way down 2-up for one night and rode home again the next day. Stirling effort.

As you may be able to see from the grins, we all ate really well, drank a bit and had a great time.

I'd like to personally thank everyone who made it to the weekend. You all made it a trip to be remembered.

Hi Heidi,

Thanks again to all the organisers and vendors for the prizes.

My mate JORDO had a great time as well, I tought him a lesson on the way home, as he had sold his Gixxer,(my old 750) the previous week. I also may have turned him around and now he is thinking of a Busa.He relised that having short legs is no excuss!!!

JORDO huh? I figured he probably had a name, but refering to him as Steve V's smiley mate seemed to identify him quite sucessfully. Nah, short legs is no excuse, HTFU.
