I got mine today... tried it out, excellent quility and service, highly recommend... Iam a little disapointed that its not real easy for me to record, due to the fact i have a dvd handycam... depends, if the roads are really bumpy or not, otherwise its good.

Ride around the bumps chunky. Stop the drop out !

Alternatively, don't mention them too much in the warranty claim on the DVD heads.

We used to mount a camera on a big carwash sponge and tape it to the tank, no probs with vibes etc at all !

Only problem you will have is if you speed and get caught your own vid can be used against you
Don't have the speedo/tacho in frame

Some pics of the mount! I made some mods to it, but adding a thick sponge under the cam, does help abit...

Fellas, don't forget the sound quality. I used to mount my camera on a sandbag(filled with beanbag foam) and ockystapped it to the tank. It worked great.

But I also added a lapel mic under the seat. That way you could hear the bike's engine and the pegs scrape without any wind noise. Good audio is one of those things that really adds a professional touch to any video production.

cheers,

Just picked up this little beauty.

30GB Hard Disc Drive. 14 hours normal recording and 7 hours Ultra Fine DVD recording. (Straight to the memory)

No bloody AV in though! Now to figure out how to use, edit, download and burn to disc???

I hope the bracket as posted above is worth $149? Might have to order one?

No dodgy sprokets. I'll show you how it's done in the real world

Your 43 toother is very Boring (FAST)..............

OF COURSE IT WILL BE UNDER CONTROLLED CONDITIONS ON A CLOSED CIRCUIT!

Have you guys seen www.bikecam.com.au ?
Well worth a look. Owen used to hire the gear out, not sure if he still does that or only sells now. I hired the set-up a couple of years ago when I was up in Qld. It's good stuff, & he edits the tape & puts music to it, etc.
