Seeing all these old bikes reminds me of the series "Long Way Around" where one of the newer bikes broke and they got an old steel and chrome Russian bike to replace it.. That old cruiser survived better than the others with the abuse LOL. Then again I might be remembering wrong as usual.....

Might have been a bit small, but I've still got my first roady - A 1978 Kawasaki Z200!!

It's still sitting in the shed because I don't exactly know what to do with it!!! I've been thinking a cafe racer would be great - It has the lovely spoked rims - but I can't seem to find the time or money to do it!

Well I'm not as old as some of you buggers on here but when I did get my licence I did get to ride some good oldies.

I'm bit like the rest of you did my licence on a 1977 CB250T which I brought for my old man for $300 and then sold it for him for $600 about 8yrs later.

I learnt to ride on a Yamaha 175 Trials bike and for like of me can't remember the yr of model

My 1st Road Bike was a Honda VT250

.jpg   VT250.jpg (Size: 16.86 KB / Downloads: 154)
2nd Road Bike was a VF500F

3rd Road Bike VFR750F

4 & 5th Bikes GSXR1100 & the Current Ride the Busa

I have also owned a couple of dirt bikes late 80's CR250 but other than that haven't owned heaps but I'm sure I'm like the rest a ridden a heap.

CB900 & 1100 Bold'or, couple of Suzzie Kats Both 750 & 1100, Suzziw GSX1100 1982 & Kwaka Z's 900 & 1000, Yamaha FJ1100 & 1200 just to list some but a lot of you guys would'vw grown up with them

Next time I've got my photos out of the boxes I'll scan some and post them but don't be in a Hurry.

Well the first bike I rode was a Suzuki TC90, belonged to one of the stations we used to go shooting on in far west Qld, Dad taught me to ride it on their dirt airstrip when I was about 10 yrs old.

The first bike I owned was a 1976 Yamaha GT80 in 1977, I would have been about 12 yrs old. My dad bought it for me, even though I really wanted a Yamaha MX pushy that had just come out @ the time. We where just about to head out bush to live again & he said to me " You can't run down pigs on a push bike, you need a motor bike" & so it began.

Then came my first brand new bike, a TS100C in 1978

Then a new PE175T Very Happyin 1980, now I had the pigs worried. This thing & a .222 Winchester saw the end of a lot of feral pigs.

Followed that with an ex-Finke desert race YZ250G which ran first in class that year for Bike & Rider Yamaha in Mt Isa & 7th outright. My first moto-x bike. Bought it @ 9 mths old in 1983.

Then onto my first road bike an RD250 - no photos.

Then a KX500 in 1987/88. Not a good photo, but my actual bike all the same. This was an excellent machine Smitten.

Also an XT500G for my first big 4stoke trail bike, an XL250S as a bush basher- no photos.

There are more but no room for photo's in this post, to be cont...
