Had a slight fairing 'oops'
#1
Backed out of the garage and kicked the stand down........just like always. Pavers out front slope towards a central drainage area and the bike rolled forward just enough as I was leaning it onto the stand to cause the stand to begin to fold again. Realized too late......foot down but also on the slope and it slid away under the weight. Recovering from a burst appendix left me with no strength in my gut muscles and down she went.......slowly, but still pissed at myself.

Clutch lever broke at the weak spot - presumably to stop damage elsewhere. No cracks in the fairings and most of the small scratches are not through the gold paint layer.

I'm not going to bother replacing, but is there a good way to hide or fill the scratches?

if no colour removed then it's easy as....

get yourself some clear paint in a can... good ole 2 pack with hardener is best

then grab a toothpick or very small artist brush

clean scratches with thinners, mix 2 pack with an eye dropper, apply paint with toothpick/brush (make sure you over apply and leave a "lump")

let dry for a few days

use stanely knife blade to "scrape" off excess clear

use 2000 grit sandpaper then cutting compound to remove extra clear and return to smooth

Already had to do this on my L3 due to bloody stone chip in the black
