Computer help needed
#16
As per Taub's sugestion, I downloaded "SpyNoMore", it scanned all of the files okay, all 67 of them. However, it is asking me to purchase a licence before it will remove them. Problem is, I don't think the link is secure, there is no little padlock in the bottom right hand side of the screen. I am now trying Slownadsteady's sugestion re Stinger.

Somehow Bill, I don't think it's that easy. Besides, I know you would do the same for your missus.

Any ideas in relation to the "SpyNoMore" issue?

Ok, spynomore seemed to do the job last night. Returned to the computer this morning, and guess what? Another 19 virusesWtf

I'm currently looking at Slowandsteady's "F-disk" fix. Question is, is all of my other files safe if I run F-disk?

Hi Terry, I would disconnect you computer from the internet until you have this problem fixed. I would download Spybot and then run CCleaner to clear out the junk files and reset you registry. If you FDisk your PC you will loose all your files and have to reinstall the operating system. Its a farking nightmare Pi_freak

P.S. You also need to get the firewall on your router going or install one on your PC.
Cheers Taub

those may not get them still. There is a util called "Process explorer" free download from Microsoft.

In short is shows more infomation then the taskmanager. So you can see what programs are running - including a virus or spyware, but also where its running from.

You can kill them from running or suspend them. If you kill them from running, delete them straight away, if you suspend them, google the file name of the virus & you will get simple info on how to remove it.

Process explorer can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinte...lorer.mspx

Thanks Raz, all seems okay now. I'll download "Process explorer" anyway and keep it in reserve.
