hi everyone the Gold Coast motorcycle expo was a real hit!! lots of bikes and some awesome streetfighters built by Bikecraft. The biggest let down was the show and shine, there would have only been just 12-14 choppers, i am sure some busas would make it better though. saw Tex and Bundy and had a good talk. keep up the good work mate!! all in all a great day with great people, thanks Surfabusa and 1300 hayabusa for coming!!

Whilst I'm not disagreeing with the opinions of the previous posters who weren't impressed, consider this from the promotors point of view.
The show had appearances by Troy Bayliss, Chris Vermuelen, Robbie Bugden, Matt Moss and Seth Enslow to name the ones I remember, plus some international jet ski stars if you're into that.
Some of the new bikes included the Australian unveiling of Triumphs new Thunderbird cruiser, Suzuki's Gladius, Kawasaki's huge cruiser thing (forgot its name) the new R1 and the XJ6 from Yamaha, to name just a few.
2 of Troy Bayliss actual race superbikes were on the Ducati stand.
Major displays from Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, MV, BMW, Harley/Buell, Ducati, KTM etc
Outside was a FMX show, including the Yamaha FMX guys and a host of maniacs on 50s, and the jetski guys were doing trick shows in the river.
Out the front you could do a test ride on a 3 wheeler Can-am or one of Harleys ranges of bikes.
There was heaps of choppers, scooters and some custom bike stuff, as well as stands from Rapid Bike, AMCN, Netrider, etc etc along with usual clothing/insurance/airbrushing stuff.
Whilst I admit, I didnt feel overwhelmed with excitement myself, I'm wondering what else we should expect from a bike show?
In the words of John Cleese.."what did you expect,.. herds of fleeing wildebeest?"
Suggestions of what type of stuff would make the show desirable will be passed along to the promoter if anyone has any.
hey everyone, i enjoyed it because i am 17 and am eager and excited!!! hey Leonard the new competition of your runs 5.9's in america!!! spoke to the owner for a while!! all in all it was good for me but maybe not for people who actually ride bikes!!
