2009 hayabusa sales
#1
Looks like a good 2009 for Suzuki with sales of busa's , listed below are 2009 sales figure from just bikes mag, hayabusa comes in 3rd place in the sport touring catergory with a total of 347. No mention of the zx-14 in the article ? Honda top the sales figure overall for the 11th straight year.

1/ gs500f - 440
2/ gsx650f - 420 (no surprise their especially with the lams version)
3/ busa - 347
4/ 1050 sprint -319
5/ bandit 1250sa- 196
6/ cbf1000-190
7/ kawasaki ex650 -173
8/ vfr800 -165
9/ bandit 1250s - 148
10/ sv650s -116

the top 10 super sport ;the R1 dominate the class in sales (must be the 4.99% ymf loan offer, could'nt have anything to do with rossi or lorenzo) ;

1/ r1 -983
2/ cbr1000rr - 660
3/ k9 gsxr1000- 622
4/ hyonsung gt650 - 514
5/ ducati 1198 - 481.

the top 3 cruisers ;

1/ xvs 650 - 945 (yamaha again)
2/ fatboy - 802
3/ dyna - 785

I reakon bmw will hit the top sales figures in supersport for 2010 and the busa will go to number 2 with the new 2010 busa graphics. Gsx650f will go to number 1. Clap

Actually Busa sales in the year before (08) WERE number one in that category, but dropped by 35% in 09. Sales in 08 were 538, spiked up by the Gen11, and the run out sales on Gen1s, then dropped back to 347 last year.

07: 366
08: 538
09: 347
10: ?

The pre big bang Yammy was runout at cheap prices, which helped the R1 in 09 as well.

Those figures are for bikes sold during each calendar year, not necessarily that year build bike, if that makes sense.

In the 1st category, why did they split the 2x bandit 1250's?? Surely they are almost the same bike? together they are almost level peggin the busa.

Those figures are produced by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industry.

There's always a few dodgy grouping/classifications etc.

More lists here:

Like putting the Hyosung GT650R in Supersports or Ducati Hypermotard figures with DRZ400Sm etc.

Note the Adventure Touring comments re the DR650.
