I realised today after still pursuing that f*&^ing oil leak I posted about that I am officially SHIT, at mechanics.

Damage to my busa so far from my mal-use:

  1. Threaded two bolts under the rear seat, snapped one of them off inside it.
  2. Tried the marble mod, but instead of a marble, used a thick end of a toothbrush I sawed off. When I attempted to remove it, the result was two painful blood blisters and some bruised fingers, the toothbrush is still lodged in.
  3. Tried gluing (with epoxy resin!!) a piece of velcro to the triple clamp plate. Then, after after a three-day wait realised it didn't bond (at all) removed it with nail varnish remover and scratched up the plate to reveal nice silver streaks all over it.
  4. Threaded one of the two bolts that hold the tank in place.

When I go to work on my bike, it almost exclusively envolves minor damages to the bike, and buckets of pain and swearing, with no reward.

So tell me, can anyone top me for the worlds shittest mechanic?

get yourself a workshop manuel , it worth its weight in gold. I spent 3 nights solid 2 full days and used 4 litres of brake fluid trying to bleed my front brakes and eventually realised that i had the calipers upside down , lol (i had the workshop manuel too but i didnt read it first or look at the pictures , doh).

Shit that would have hurt, I crushed two fingers earlier this year and that was bad enough. Had my hand on the conrete looking under a truck when a apprentice droped a crow bar on my hand, my finger tips poped like grapes Knuppel2
