Has anyone got a contact number for IMR? So far it looks like they don't want phonecalls!

Stear clear from Insure my ride. I had my experience with them when they started up. Go with Shannons, you talk to a human and they specialise in insuring people with Passion about their ride. I have insured my Monaro and Hayabusa with Shannons and was able to compromise on a valuation that was agreed between the insurer and I. They take into consideration modifications made.
IMR in my opinion will rip you off come claim time.

I have made 2 claims with IMR (one for stolen bike, the other for a write off) and never had a problem (even spoke to humans when I rang).
My 2 bobs worth.

Really!! Very surprised. Maybe it must have been just me. I had my previous bike insured with IMR, then transfered to the busa. 6 months later when the yearly renewal came in the mail they dropped 5 grand off the insured amount. The busa was bought brand new at the time. I chased them up about it but they wern't interested, Contacted Shannons and they were great, sorted all the BS and its been great since.

Updated facts:-

InsureMyRide is a wholly owned subsidiary of Suncorp and under written by Australian Alliance Insurance Company Limited.
Shannons is a stand alone Company but also written by Australian Alliance Insurance Company Limited.

That's probably why neither would insure me. Still my insurance dropped $1200 this year. That's gotta make you smile!

shannons generally wont insure people who say they will actually ride there bike. Something about only insuring enthusiasts but only enthusiasts who ride less then two days a week apparently. IMR has been nothing but great in the 3 years i have been with them. my 2008 busa was insured for 18000 which is what i paid for it and a new for old for 12 months i think it was all for under $700 a year. currently have my vstar insure with them for under 300 a year full comp above what i see as market value.

Do you get caned or detention if you fall off?

Hi Big Kev, don't be embarrased re ownership:
