Just thought I'd see if anybody has come up with a good idea on how to prop the tank up whilst changing the air filter?
Annoying the shit out of me and the old window washer handle just doesn't cut the mustard.

There's a piece of steel/rod in the hump stoage area that's designed to hold it up. It clips into the storage area to stay in place while you ride.
One end of this rod sits in one of the bolt holes that hold the tank in place, and the "zig zag" end sits in the head stem hole...
If this doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll take a few pics...

You'll also find two pieces of rubber in there (they look like two plastic knobs sticking upward inside the storage area)... they're for blocking off the fuel tank if you ever need to take the hoses off

No need to take the tank off just to change the filter... The little wire holder thingy works well.

Work clearance with that prop thing is naff. I tie a piece of wire through the bolt hole of the tank one end through a hole on the bar under the hump/rear seat. Make sure the tank is low on fuel and you'll get a LOT more work area.
Stole the idea from some guy who had a neat wire with 2 hooks at each end - apparently from a Yamaha bike (maybe an R1).
Carpe Diem!
