starter not working

Hi all
the starter on my 99 has stopped working. It has not been used much in the past few months as i am doing a resto on it. You can hear the motor spinning but it does not engauge the engine to turn it over - any one got any hints on what migh be going on??

Sounds like you may have done the starter clutch. Has the motor ever kicked back? This is an inherent risk when starting a Hayabusa with a low battery.

I agree, does sound like the starter clutch. My '01 done the same thing...... I got a bit of warning tho...... the starter would spin up a couple of times, but the engine wouldn't grab. It finally didn't start at all. Pretty easy to fix. About $320 from memory!
