Heard it can be more damaging than forced induction, but some one more educated than me on the matter will chime in.

Do you really need it bro? Damn i wish i did i can't find a stretch of road long enough to stretch a busa legs!

Done a few kits but only wet NOS brand and never on a Busa.
Not a fan of dry kits.

Jet down low, an extra 15 or 20hp and i'd personaly expect it to
be pretty safe if its done by anyone with their head on straight.
(and you'll get a few more hits going small)

Dont use the plastic lines. Use braided. Plastic lines go brittle
and blow, been there done that !

Most folk mount the bottle wrong. They want it to look "nice".
with or without an internal tube the liquid shoud always be pushed
back and down to an exit point. Most folk set them up that the
liquid "climbs" away on accelleration.

Buy some kitchen scales. Easy to weigh the bottle and get a
good guage of whats left in it / what you've just paid for.

DONT use PTFE plumbers tape on fittings. it'll freeze
and block up your NOS filter.

Im pretty sure you can get a "Busa bracket" that puts a 2lb
bottle under the seat hump. I like the 2.5lb but they are hard
to hide. Less than 2lb is fairly useless unless its just a show pony.

I use a flick switch to turn the horn button into a Nitrous button,
but also use a micro switch on the carb's that only "clicks" at
full throttle.

All this is pretty standard info, like running it up the street with the
system armed but the bottle turned OFF, hit the Nitrous and it
should choke the motor with fuel, that was my standard test to
make sure I wasnt going to get meltdown with just nitrous and no fuel.

Im sure there are a few guys on here who are clue'd up on Busa kits ?

Do it cheap & BANG.

If you do your research and buy the correct bits then get it tuned properly then maybe just maybe BANG

better now with the ecu editor options for nos control
you can vary the shot size by gear, and have the fuel mapped to suit, and pull timing
i tuned a nos gen 1 and it worked well, a gen 2 would have much more finesse
don't forget we are talking "race only" ;)

Bloody Hell, I'm still frightened to even fan the clutch ..

I don't think my testicles would ever be big enough to hit the NOS button .. Embarassed

I'd be using your fingers to hit the nos button Mate .

I have a wet system on a v/twin I have for sale. You have done what I have pretty much. I added a Pingell auto shifter with all ignition kill modules and gear change at a prescribed rpm. I increased the v/star mechanically to 98 HP before NOs to make it honest....

With that kind of power how could you not backflip and end up a mess all over the road.

As they said it can be tuned for each gear. The new MV's in my group are pissing me right off so I'm thinking the same route...depending on how harmful it is long term.

You only live once, I'd rather die on my bike than at work I can tell you that much.

When death smiles at you, all you can do is smile straight back... ;-)

why is dry shot bad? I saw some kits for about 300 US mark the other day... make me wonder - cheaper then a hair drier

Not used them, had a bit of a look.
Limited to what the stock bike can match with its pump / injecters etc.
Dont know anyone with a useful size hit running a dry system.
Only good on modern bikes, not carb'd OldSkool stuff too.

Several of the dry system's i've seen seem to be on "show bikes" not
dragbikes or abused streetbikes. More coffee club bragging rights.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone putting 30 or 40hp extra with
a dry system and having it in regular use.

Not being a smart arse, if its do-able i'd be keen to hear about it.
Its something I should learn more about.

Someone like maj would know a LOT more than I about how much fuel
the stock pump/injecters/ecu could find to meet the extra nitrous ?
