Gilles Tooling rearsets
#1
Fitted these Gilles Tooling rearsets yesterday.
Absolutely love 'em, made a huge difference.

I'm 5'11 but have short legs and long torso and so found my knees were sitting too low on the tank for my liking. Problem now solved, between the corrected position from the rearsets and my Techspec grippers I now have a vice like grip on the tank. Very happy.

Got them from the Gilles Tooling store at Hoppers Crossing. They don't keep the
Gen 1 sets in stock, but only had to wait a few weeks for a shipment to come in.
They are very friendly and their service was top notch.

Just to keep the money in Australia when possible and to establish a relationship with a local business. Pi_thumbsup

It would be a different story if they were manufactured in Australia, but they're not.

No, but it is a local Australian owned business that is importing the product, the profit margin stays in the country. If we don't support local business, then a few years from now there will not be any local businesses left and the internet will be our only source of parts and product.
I for one, would rather go down the road, talk to a person, shake their hand and give them some money for the product that I want and receive some customer service. As long as they are in the ballpark pricewise I will continue to do so.

Not having a rant, just trying to explain my reasons for preferring to deal with a local shopfront business where possible.Coolsmiley

BTW, was just down there again the other day, had an enjoyable and informative chat about product I was interested in and have some more lovely Gilles Tooling bling on the way.Very Happy
