Left hand side fairing removal

Can some one help I need to remove the cover on the left hand side under the handle bar to access the fuse box, I have looked at the owners cd rom but makes no sense! I have removed screws it just feels very tight to get the black cover off, gen 1 thanks in advance !

there is a rubber grommet holding the infill fromt he fairing to the tank in place... the first time you pop it makes ur sphinkers pucker as you feel you are gunna break something...

be brave young man and about 2/3rds way down the infill slide your fingertips between tank and infill then pull straight up... that grommet can hold the entire fairing in place

P.S. double check you have done all the screws LOL

Gen1's are a breeze compared to a Gen2 fairing removal.

Youtube is your friend in this instance, there are some very good step by step instructions.

When I was younger (a lot younger ) beers and a session meant that you were in no state to attempt motorcycle maintenance ..
After a good session, all I wanted to do was veg out in the chair and eat burger rings ..

You should see all screws and push clips one screw is behind ignition and you have one push clip under screen level with Mirror pluss another screw and push clip you should be able to see then gently wiggle black cover off
