Wasn't there last week. Looked like they were trying to cover up were the bitumen was melting but it was just on the one lane i was traveling in.

yeah that sounds like Tassie repairs...

they like pouring tar over a road then tip blue metal on it and let vehicles' tyres press the stones into the tar... call it Splatter cover cause the tar splatters your car/bike if you get to it before they cover in stones or right after, the stones splatter you form oncoming traffic and in the loose gravel 50-75mm thick you can go splatter if not ready for it LOL
