Heads up for 05 riders

Guys after washing my 05 busa yesterday I found that the gear leaver pivot pin had come loose about 2 turns.


Now this is a simple fix but it is a concern when I had to tighten Tuabusa’s 05 just last weekend as well, so it my be a good idea for every one to have quick a look.


Arguing with idiots is like wrestling a pig in the mud, you both get dirty but the pig enjoys it!

thats why it pays to check your bike over from front to back as often as you can

Same here, I'm always playing with the bike , spining spaners

just to make sure it's all tight and ready to go and play

You know ,oddly enough I found the same problem with mine about 2 months ago.
I thought it was just maybe bad luck and one of those little things that happens.
Unscrewed the pivot and put some 242 locknut on and tightened it back up.
No probs since athough I give the bike a thorough checkover every weekend when I wash and lube it.
Hmmmmm is it shrinking or am I still growing taller????

Anyother issues youve come across folks?? Growing old is inevitable.

Had the same on my 04 about 6 months ago!

That wasnt anything compared to my Husqy Motard, things use to vibrate off all the time.

yep, same on my 04. i actually put a dab of locktite on mine. no more hassles.
