Just a little information you should all be aware of.
While we all have our bikes/cars registered with Vic Roads (Vic) and part of that cost is for insurance against any costs incured in an accident in relation to anyone being hurt there is a however a clincher.
It goes like this:
If you are in the wrong in an accident ( and lets face it we don"t mean for these things to happen) and someone (including yourself) is hurt and requires medical attention,AND YOU HAVE HAD A DRINK! Then be aware.
If you blow .01 you could be up for 20% of the costs. Even though your under the legal limit.
.02 =40%
.03=60%
.04=80%
.05= the whole damn lot
If the medical bills come to a minimum of $300,000
get the calculator out and and die in the arse on this one.

Seriously? that's pretty messed up...

What's your source on the info? I'm almost due for frequent claimer points with TAC lol...I've read the Act and don't recall reading anything to that effect, I thought contributions started on a sliding scale after .05? Sounds like something they would do though...they are total dumbasses
