Wheel rim colours

How many Busa owners have polished / electroplated their rims and has anyone had their rims painted?....I'm going to modify my Busa next week = slip-ons + power comander and zerogravity windscreen, but I would also like to deal with the exisiting black rims that I don't really like. If anyone out their has had their rims painted and has photos could you send them to me on stuandjill@austarnet.com.au, my bike is the 02 Blue and Pearl and I'm considering a bright blue for the rims???

Cheers,

I know what ya mean Jessie but I have been looking at the World Super Bike entries and some of them have painted rims that look spectacular, I have also seen a couple of Busa's now that have had the rims electroplated and I could go either way, one Busa I saw had a blue paint job that was a touch lighther than the tank blue and when moving looked excellent

I think Polished look good, a lot of maintenance though

Your not wrong the polished rims do look good; the work and up-keep won't bother me......I see you have the Arrow cans, I have just fitted the KerKer (Black carbon fiber) cans and they also look good (and sound great), I think I will get the huggger fitted and the zero Gravity windscreen and then have another think about the wheels

2nd Busa with Kerker exhausts I have "come across" this week... And I admit the first ones I saw (Greg) had an excellent note!

Have a look at this thread. It has some good discussion about some of the above cosmetic treatments for bike parts. Photos too.

Your right it is a 4 - 1 but its still an Arrow Can?, anyway I wanted to check out the options for wheel rims and I've decided to go with polishing. The tail huggar is the next step, then the polishing.

What happened to your mirrors?

and did you modify your passenger footpeg?

and is that clutch cover polished or is that a reflection?

and are you from Vic? (rego on car)

Just curious. Nice bike. Looks different.

Don't know what happened to other pic.

Yes footpeg is modified and clutch cover is polished. Thanks. I kepp changing things.

Best mod has been adjustable dog bones, no more scraping the fairings. This was my third paint job. It was killing me.
