The 08 Busa is Introduced to the World over the next 3 days

Brock Davidson will punting the new Bus down the Quarter as well as a few laps around a circuit. Will be interesting to hear the results!

08 Hayabusa World Press Introduction

Wednesday covered the Technical aspect of the bike with actual testing on Thursday.

Of interest is the Crank will be interchangeable for the older model and the Cylinders have been modified to reduce pumping losses which may hinder those wanting to Stroke the Motor further.

Jeff Ware from Rapid is over there as well. He is really stoked at the opportunity.
Straight after the release, he is off to do some laps at Nurburgring...

Unrestricted, I wonder if it also wears a 340k speedo?
Interchangeable crank, Ron Ayres has old crank for US$720, I think I may have to get me a new crank, my old one doesn't feel too good. (insert excuse here)- mines gone flat.

3. Suzuki engineers claim that the S-DMS Suzuki Drive Mode Selector is the ONLY restriction placed on the performance of the bike besides the internal (186MPH) top speed limiter.

Read the article. Note "besides the internal 186mph top speed limiter" - therefore it's not UNRESTRICTED.

Hmmmnnn 9.9's, sounds slower than the old model, get rid of that heavy cat exhaust and it might show some potential.
Dunno if Suzuki will do a group discount on spares Rob, worth a try though. I'm in, even if I use the crank as a door stopper or paper weight for a while.

Just visited local suzuki shop which is No1 dealer in WA. Expect the busa's here at the end of October. Finally we get to see and ride then. Q. Why only 1363 when for not much more you go 1398?
