Hard panniers
#1
Now that the 2008 is out,

I was wondering if the old model solid panniers might be "fire sale'd"
That is, if anyone has any. I checked the suzuki site and they only have the soft panniers.

I'd like to get a set of genuine hard panniers. I've seen them in advertising a few years ago but never seen any in the flesh.

Anyone know of a dealer who might have some that they would like to offload??

The Hayabusa hard panniers that you are thinking about Ward are probably the CORBIN ones.
They look a bit like bat wings and don't have a very large capacity.

They wont fit new busa.Look great and equal capacity to a Ventura/gearsak bag, but lower centre of gravity, but thats the opinion of some one that owns one . If someone can show me better fitting Hard panniers PLEASE DO....

Now that is frigin ugly , you cant do that to the bike
That kind of stuff is reserved for old BMW's

those corbin paniers are nice , but expensive.

I thought there was a genuine Hayabusa set, but it looks like it may have have been the corbin ones. I assume you can get them colour coded for a go faster '99 Copper. How much you pay Loafie?

Anyone know reccomended retail, or where I may get a set?

As for the GIVI . . . I can't come at riding anything with a fat arse. . . bikes included.Pi_tongue

Thanks Busgo, you always seem to be able to come thru.
$1700 - and I assume US dollars - SHIT.

What do the brackets look like Loafiewhen pannires not on the bike?
or do you just leave the pannires on?

The panniers locate on three points .
1 is a bracket sharing the rear footpeg/exhaust bolt, which is small and i leave on.
2 is a bracket that mounts to tail ( if you look under you will see two holes already there, and that stays)
3 is a bolt that replaces the front bungy bolt, which i do remove when not using.
So it takes roughly 15 minutes to put on take off, but the first few times is a bugger to get lined up.. also i have a 4-1 exhaust that requires spaceing to accomadate the panniers as the are moulded to go around the stock twins
