Hey Ladies/Gents,
Just a quick on all what is the average fuel economy of a Hayabusa and what are people generally getting per tank?? On the highway that is?? And do they play with the fuel mixtures on the bike at the first service??
Any info would be gladly appreciated
Cheers

Hi Wanted,
I had a 99 busa for 3 years and averaged 18.5 k/ltr.
On my Gen II, I have just completed the first 1000 ks and have averaged 19.5 k/ltr.
There is no fuel adjustment at the first or subsequent services on the K8.
They are set at the factory and controlled by the ECU for all the environmental input sensors to regulate the fuel.
"If time catches up with you. You're going too slow!"

when the light comes on I generally take that as 75k's left in tank at best, ie 5 litres @ say 15 k's per L. Usually comes on at around the 240 mark. So when over 300 Im a little panicky and l make sure am close to a refuel spot.

Im averaging 270-280 a tank, but majority of my riding is avoiding the freeway and going the twistyer back roads so its generally at full steam.
Ummm, Heidi would be the guru on fuel consumption I believe

There is that, I was holding the record for the worst fuel consuption ever for a while there. it is good to be the best at something!!
I posted to this thread and a few other the other day, and they appear to have disappeared.,..... spooky.
I travel 170km a day on the freeway (most not all on freeway). I travel between 110-140km/h with a massive bag on the back, and I get about 350km per tank with regular.
