Carnage Round1 Sports Compact

Wow what a day.
Not sure how many entrants they had but at the end of the day there were 50+ vehicles that broke.

And yes I was one of them and mistaboosta.

Day started of well ran a PB of 9.2
Then had some electrical Battery problems.
Thanks to mistabooster and 2kbusarider for your help guys to get me outa the shit.

In the second last race up against S&R Pro.
Launched nice and hard same as I had been doing all day,but this time it bit and went skyward way up on the back wheel.
And when it came down punched the sump plug up through the sump.[attachment=2299]
Oil out and over that back wheel isn't the best way to head down the strip.
Luckly I kept it upright so just the sump to mod and a heep of cleaning.

Mistaboosta was alot more unlucky punched a hole in his gearbox.
Hope it's not too much for you to fix M8.

Maj ran in the sportsbike class on his 750 got through his first round.
Not sure how he went with the rest.
I'm sure he'll update?

Was a good day S&R ran mid 8's as did a nitro kwaka.

More drag pics to follow.

Looked a wild ride Anthony, your rear tire was trying hard to overtake the front as you were slowing down.
Least you ended up better than that VL.... Ouch...
Poor traction was affecting most high powered vehicles, top cars were doing solo's ,too dangerous side by side.but some learnt how to use the track and ran some quick passes.
Jamie won the outlaw with Mick on a turbocharged gsxr750 taking second.
I went out in second round to Jason H , he is very consistant, thought i may have been able to beat him but did my worst run of the day to loose :(

Outlaw always looses a coupla bikes to Mechanical mayhem, just wasn't expecting you to be one of them Anthony!!!!. Good bit of riding up until that point. You would've been in with finals spot for sure.
Dave Wolf is still on the road home, so just how much damage his NOS has done when the fuel pump failed is not yet known but almost guaranteed to be ugly.
Deserved win for Jamie, his tactic of running on the wastegate only - paid off. He's had the most reliable bike for the last 2 seasons, and it looks like paying dividends in this years points chase.
Mines not that bad. hole in the cases is not in a bad spot so should repair OK. Looks like it was in 2 gears at the same time. Cir clips were dislodged and a shift fork snapped. Which came first and damaged the other is anyone's guess. Most of the gears sustained damage, all the shift forks and the shift drum. Shafts seem OK aside from a coupla nicks. Inside the cases have a few battle scars.
Maj has sourced the parts allready at a GREAT price that will see Big Bird back together in no time. Can't thank you enough Mate.
20 points + 30% bonus was a bit dissapointing. Hope to do better at the Mini Jam. Look forward to catching up with the QLD guys again.
Sports Bike looks like being huge this year - 4 Bikes travelled from QLD and the local lads and laddetts were giving back plenty.
Conditions were tough, but all riders took them on with good spirit and comradery. Top Day.

Funny you should mention that - no doubt when a suitable period of sympathy has passed - I'll be getting the "I told you so" routine. Embarassed
Better use some myself in future. Looks like I'll be needing all the help I can get, based on my current form. Roll
