LEDs.

Tell that to the Filth that pinged me the other week on the way to work DJ! (In the car)

I also "had" the blue leds in the parking lights on my car. I was running the driving lights in the bumper with a faint blue glow from the headlights when Mr pulls me up and reads me the riot act. He let me off on the undertaking I would nevr commit such a henious crime again, buy 4 tickets to the ball and blow into his bag!

Mr said it was a $165 fine? So the bike bling lights are off at the moment!

The End. (I don't think so?)

If you call at just any cop station, you only get to talk to some pleb who probably knows jack about traffic legislation. The only advice he would be able to give, is whether or not he would issue a ticket. Better to contact the traffic branch, much more reliable info.

Well thought I would go around the merrygoround again spoke to a cop and he said it is NOT illegal. Nothing says you can't do it.
He suggested I go to Vic Roads website and see lighting section.
All I could find was attached from Roadworthy Requirements Pdf.
This basically says what I was told a year ago by another cop that if it does not cause clare you should be right...
I reckon mine are very subtle on the sides.
The only really bright one is at ground level underneath the bike so I reckon I'm ok....so far
Cheers,
Pete

"must be of the correct colour" ... blue is not the correct colour for an exterior light unless you are an emergency vehicle - I reckon you might be pushing it ...

Well I did ask that Richard and made it very clear about the color.
As long as not beaming into driver eyes or causing clare...were his words.
I'm sure I'll find out sooner or later... Cheers,
Pete
