Re: Any pic will do - sabre350 - 06-01-2007 I went with Shannons for mine agreed value $21k worked out to roughly from memory $940. for 12 months I am 37 no claims small traffic record WQBE over here (W.A.) wanted $1200.00 and if accident my fault no extra coverage eg helment jacket whereas Shannons did it also Shannons covered me for track days and rider advanced courses Insurance.... - RuffRed - 06-02-2007 Unfortunately you have to wait until you are 40 before they think you are responsible But then the premiums become cheaper. My last bike was an '03 Bandit 1200 and it was only $345 per year and it was worth more than my Busa Ruffy ping Ruffy - pan - 06-02-2007 I got another pic of ya for the insurer. I got it during our last ride. Unfortunately it was only a black and white camera... Re: ping Ruffy - demeester - 08-02-2007 Is he sitting on a roller blade? Re: ping Ruffy - kawasuki - 08-02-2007 And got plenty of patch on the road. Cheers, Kawasuki RE: Shannons - Kala - 03-05-2010 chatting to shannons today they are relaxing their garaging rules so that as long as a bike is behind a door / cant be seen from the street it doesnt need to be in full garage. they are meeting on friday to confirm the change in policy the chappy got approval to bring it forward for me today on the viffer the quote for the busa moving to the same address is around 440.00 insured for 10 grand K RE: Shannons - Madmax - 03-05-2010 (03-05-2010, 10:34pm)Kala Wrote: chatting to shannons today Are they still insisting that the insured bike not be a daily ride to work and back and only used at weekends? They lost my business a few years ago by not even quoyting on the grounds that I used mine as my daily commuter. Have they changed? Max RE: Shannons - Kala - 04-05-2010 nah..still wont cover for a commuter BUT they have removed the "number of kilometres a year" thing cause i said, righto..well i dont ride every day, but when i do ride i might stop 2000kms later. insurance boy said, yeah, we dont care about that.. its just not for "daily" use im not sure how they plan to be able to tell your 10000kms a year is done in 24 days or 250? he couldnt tell me either..so i just thought.. meh.. will do for now he also said insuremyride is shannons just getting the business they miss out on by being rigid with conditions, which we know, but seems an odd way to do get the customers they claim not to want K RE: Shannons - Madmax - 04-05-2010 Sounds like a starnge way to do business, why not just cover commuters as well? RE: Shannons - Tony Nitrous - 25-06-2010 Shannon's no commute rule isn't set in stone. It depends on the customer and circumstances. Just something they try and avoid if possible. RE: Shannons - Greeny_SA - 26-06-2010 I'm with DJ & Volvi, never had it in 43 yrs . If I f*** up I'm prepared to pay for my own mistake's .Third Party Property Is a Must ,but it's cheap . I Must have 10 grand in my imaginary account . RE: Shannons - Madmax - 26-06-2010 The repair bill for my broken frame after theBombala to Imlay Rd thing was $11,700, the claim before that was $14,500(in 2004) for a write off - diesel on a corner. I reckon I'm well and truly in front at this stage. RE: Shannons - Troopmaster - 28-06-2010 Just about to switch to Shannons after a year with QBE, $120.00 p/y difference! (i have a K9) One thing i was a little annoyed at was that they claim to be the enthusists insurance company, well, i have a 1985 GSX/EF in which its replacement cost is currently at approx $35,000.00. (No, its not a race bike, and yes, its off of its face with some really nice trick stuff hanging off of her). They will only insure her for a maximum of $15,000 simply because of her age! WTF! (i have a K9) You might want to get an independent evaluation done and present that to Shannons,I have a couple of friends which where asked to provide an evaluation certificate due to the high value of their old or set up bikes. |
