Replaced both the fuel filter strainer and main filter after bike no longer reving past 6 grand, Wow what a difference. You don't realize how much the power was tapering off until you have it back.. |

Thanks for your advise Shifu, as I have used a similar technique on my wifes car.
But the cloudy appearance is actually on the inside of the high beam projector lens....not sure how to go about fixin... |

I had the cats cut out and replaced with a balanced X section..gained 3hp but best was a nicer sound once the revs rise and a lot less heat.. |

There must be a difference between Gen 1 & Gen 2 in the starting department mine is 1441 with 13:5:1 comp and it starts fine every time, even in the middle of traffic on a 36 deg day.

Don't mean to be nit picking but the bike is Yamaha FJR 1300 , not a ZX14 ...either way still would have sucked. .lucky it didn't land in him that would have really hurt. |

I've welded my clutch ...love it, nice and smooth and no clunking! ..
I've also fitted the 04 R1 throttle tube,just bolts straight in ,no extra tension on the cables and a little more throttle action ... |

50 more horses ,,, :scary:
But wouldn't most of that power be up top. I very rarely use the upper rev range as it is, that's unless it's a bit of a spirited ride with others .
But budget was also ... |

Have always used HI-FLOW ones with no dramas on all my bikes..
I have gone over to K&N as a mate stocks them now ,and yes I agree I like the nut on the end. |
