I posted in the Newbie section when I signed up because I saw how some people were spoken to when they posted elsewhere first.. Manners work both ways.

I wasn't aware of the New Member protocol beforehand.

I seem to remember having a PM waiting for me on sign-up? Perhaps this PM could hyperlink new members to the appropriate page to say hello. Not everyone posts elsewhere with deliberate disregard to courtesy.
