Smells like WD40 while it is sitting there Pan, but not afterwards so I found out. (once you wind the windows down the smell goes away)

Tested the theory - works very well. A good dose of WD40 the night before all over, and some brake cleaner on the chain. A good wash with well soaped water to lift the WD40 and the liberated grotty stuff. A good wipe of the chain with a rag lifts heavy build up before the wash. Good on the hard to get bug guts as well. End result is a well cleaned (better than normal for me) bike that has a lingering shine that isn't greasy. I wouldn't be surprised if it is easier to clean the next time as well.

I think I will modify it a little and buy bulk WD40, and mix with a bit of kero or similar in a spray bottle to make it cheaper.

On another note I also put RHS fairing parts on that I received from Partshark.com some time ago along with a speedo healer. The fairing parts are genuine parts and nowhere near retail prices from here. Aside from having to transfer over the heat and sound insulation foam it was straight forward. Very impressed with the parts.
