I was thinking this Simmo as I knew I couldn't be anything to do with airbox pressure. Just couldn't see where the hold lead to and really wanting to know if it affects A/F ratio really

Maps and inputs to the ecm control the A/F if you blocked it the ecm will read it as richer on the exhaust side via the O2/lamda sensor and then lean the fuel off accordingly across the map to compensate.

So if you block it nothing will happen, other than using less fuel over many tanks and you'll not be letting condensed or other water excape via the hole.

If you leave it, it will continue mixing its A/F at the rate its supposed to without the water "clouding" the issue, or causing different problems down the track.
