well im gonna see how it goes now. i reckon the clutch may have been slipping due to not enough oil

If the clutch has been slipping the way you described, then it is too late. Sorry mate, an oil change won't heal it.

BTW, change the oil regularly.

Thats false and misleading information, whoever told you that has no idea about what they're talking about and should read the clubs SandR policy.

Be Brave! Just take your clutch cover off and then the six socket head screws that hold your clutch springs in place (the six dark ones below). The pressure plate will then come off and your clutch plates can be pulled out.

You can then visually inspect and measure them to see if they're stuffed, or whether a further tear down is required.

Make sure you put loktite back on the screws when rebuilding the clutch.

I dont use loctite any more, it ends up breaking off into little bits that end up in the oil.i just tighten them up properly and i,ve never had a problem with them coming loose.

I also don't use loctite on the bolts just tighten to torque.

If you use loctite, you'll run the risk of backing out the studs that screw into the back torque limiter (BTL) next time you undo them.
