Damm Ray, - always out looking for a good time aren't you...!

Did they breath test you?
I guess not, otherwise it would give you a get out of gaol card for being under the influence.
"If time catches up with you. You're going too slow!"

Pommie Wrote:I'm seriously considering going back to the Uk. I love this country and especially its people but its becoming so stifiling in regards to ridiculous laws, beaurocracy and taxes. Having a long hard think about it.

Hey Pommie, come to Perth we got most of the UK police force working here Im sure they would make you feel right at home.Very Happy.... Or go back to the UK theres probably no one minding the joint back there Lol2

Good luck Ray, keep us posted on the progress. I got stitched up by a copper quite a few years ago for allegedly riding an unlicensed dirt bike on the road. I made my complaints through the right channels and it didnt seem to do any good. I chose to argue it in court and then a week before the court date the charges were dropped.

Kawasuki,

any lessons learned? how about "let sleeping pigs lie".

Seriously, it seems like that pig is happy to break the laws he swore to uphold. But that's nothing new in Qld. I grew up there before and during the fitzgerard enquiry. Maybe they need another one.

I lost 8 provisional licences before I finally got my open licence in Qld. There was a certain pig who felt he had to nip 'bikies' in the bud, get 'em when they're young so to speak. I 'spose I'm lucky I only lost my licence!

Bloody pity you didn't have someone surrepticiously video taping your 'event'. You'd nail the bastard in court. Maybe a sting is in order?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about this crap. It's obvious that policing in Taxtralia is about ensuring the flow of revenue, not upholding the public safety of their best interest. Best career option now is to become a criminal, because you dont do the time anymore.

I had one of these pricks pull me up just before the Hume for the Snowy ride last year. Despite the fact it was bucketing down, he wanted to do me for going through a red light (which was orange) on a brand new piece of roading, which was oily, slippery and had a 6ft asshole in it. He was from Mittagong so they breed their assholes specially for the HWP down there. Anyway, he had a video camera and a sound feed, so you need to subpoena these records out of the Gestapo, as all the highway cars have them now.

Well that's my 0.02c worth, now to go bash a speed cameraKnuppel2

Ray, hope you got the details of the car the cop was booking. getting as many witnesses to any and all events are the most important thing. one on one rarely works as they take the uniforms version but witnesses they cant make them all out as liers. Good luck Ray, your also doing it all on behalf of the public.

makes one want to carry around those pocket recording devices. try denying that in court officer.

Seriously, what you need is 500 bikes outside the courtroom, but no threatening behaviour. At the same time you need 60 minutes /Today Tonight/A current affair out the front. They can then cover the mass ride with a newly freed Ray to Macquarie St to ask Nathan Rees personally WTF is going on and what is going to be done about it, ie sack the Minister for Police and the Commisioner just to get started.

Looks like Volvi has it we should carry listening devices for our own safety.

Hi Ray,

Just remember if you have a recording device to inform the person that you are recording that their conversation is being recorded. Otherwise it's inadmissable in court. Trust me, we know!!!

Really sorry to hear about this Ray. I think the Hayabusa gang showing up to court is a good idea. We do it for weddings... heck, let's do it for this too!

Hope you're feeling better and back to full riding soon. If not, can I borrow your bike for a track day in December?

GiddyUp Wrote:Good Grief Ray! It sounds like a cheesey B grade movie? WTF?

If I saw a big brute like you tapping on my window I'd be saying "how can I help you sir"!

No wonder the Cops get a bad name. It's these individuals that need to be weeded out. Don't worry he'll be investigated.

I hope your wrist comes good. I know the damage cuffs can do if applied and used wrong. And no, I'm not talking about bedroom activities guys...Coolsmiley

Best of luck with your quest!

Cheers, Phil. Jindy Loop

P.S. It's no wonder some call the the Police the "Filth"!

Phil if u could imagine a dangerous escapee being rounded up ,well that will give u some idea how i was treated.

Ray,

I'm no expert but I did go to court a while back for being booked for no seatbelt as you may remember. And I won to the TOG's amazement.
My tips would be:
> Witnesses wherever poss. (Although in my case I had none, it was my word against his)
> Plan what you are going to say on paper then summarise it so you can say it off the cuff.
(The judge said he would prefer I use my own words and not read any notes unless I really had to.)
> Don't get personal or accuse anyone of anything.
State exactly what happened in a matter of fact way.
Be genuine and sincere about your recollection of events.

I thought the judge would be favoring the Cop.
No way...He listened to both sides of the story in a very fair way and made the only decision he could make. I was found not guilty due to reasonable doubt.
I didn't accuse the Cop of lying.
I said I am sure he believed I was not wearing the belt but I know that I WAS definitely wearing the belt and I gave my reasons why.

It really restored my faith in the legal system.

If you truly believe that you did not purposely harrass the Cop, then from what you have said you should have him hands down.

It was a bit of work and stress too but I tell you the feeling when the judge put the sentence down in your favor makes it all worth it.

Reading your story the Judge will see exactly what happened.
You were victimized in a f*&^ing BIG way.
The Cop could have just said to you "thanks for the tip mate." and that would have been it.

Also in your case I don't reckon you have an option....just go for it.
If you play your cool you will win.

Dj left some real good points there Pi_thumbsup

Ray,im sorry this is happend to you mate.
Really i am.
Many of us had been hard done by the law.
An the last time an officer told me to come to the police
station if anything happend etc i told him ' if you want
something done right, you got to do it yourself.'
He blabbered bout some crap,an i told him' wtf is an
excuse for my house getting robbed,me calling yous
come THREE days later '.

I dont like the way they can just disrispect you
an tell you to f*** off etc.
Its a police badge they have.
To uphold the law.
Not a ' do whatever i want a get away with it' badge.
C**ts.

f*&^ing get the c*** skinned Ray!(figuritvily) f*** i hate coppers and there just getting worse. i have recently been thinking about a career change and thought for a fleeting moment being a copper and try and be one of the good ones so there not all scum but i can tell ya that out of all the current coppers ive met i wouldnt associate my self with any of them. so so much for being a copper. most of the former officers of the law i know that are now civilians think the same as me. to me it seems like the school bullies who didnt wanna loose there feeling of self importance and bullying power have joined the coppers in recent years and this lets them play out there power role plays.
Regards
