good to see its only getting better and better. thou art truly great- mere mortals like myself may only wallow in thine own crapulence in the shadows of such excellence. enjoy the rest of the trip and ride safe- and yes i do want to hear the FULL story- i'll even shout the tinnies. bringing "the guy" would have only wrecked it anway...
Ludicrous speed- go!

Holy crapstix, what an epic trip home Bruce and I had. Rod road down to the docks in the torrential rain to loan me a clear visor (what a bloke). The plan was to get off the boat at 7.30pm and do the hero run back to Canberra and Sydney that night. We got as far as the last petrol station when we were told the Hume was closed at Seymour due to a flood across the road. Bruce and I decided to give it a bash (all the other bikes at the petrol station bailed), because busas are known for their work in water crossings. We hit the floodwaters, and it was a doddle, the scariest part was the guys frantically waving 'go slow' signs. We pushed on and on, visibility was bugger all, HUGE invisible puddles threatened to throw us off line and at times we had to sneak along at 80-90kms/hr, which meant we were being overtaken by trucks throwing out walls of water. When it finally started raining frogs it was a sign so, we pulled into Albury at midnight and stayed there. We could have done it if the weather was onside. We found out this morning the road was cut in three places after Albury, so we couldn't have gotten any further anyway.

Thanks to Driller and Shredder for their amazing work organising the trip, you guys are great, it was beautifully done. It was fun to meet a whole lot of new faces and the roads in Tassie are incredible. If ever you get a chance, you MUST go. And thanks to Rod who is always someone that gives and gives without asking for anything in return.

Hope the track day is going well!! I'll post up some photos once my fingers are less wrinkly.
