I think Kylie needs to write a letter to the cop station and explain exactly what this cop said and his pig attitude.
Also if you have a top driving record you could use this to your advantage.

Is the officers badge or ID number in the infringement notice ?
The sargent may be able to find out who it is from that.

Just checked the visor on my SHOIEI , it has the Australian standards sticker as well as having the Australian standard embossed on one side and in the text on the other side is "Not warranted shatter-proof"

On my Shark the same text about shatter proof, no sticker, but an EU standard embossed on both clear and tinted.

The whole thing is incompetent, not just the WA laws.

I have a replacement visor bought from a Suzuki Dealer and it does not have Australian Standards sticker.

There cannot be an Australian Standards sticker...........all repeat after me: "Standards Australia/ Australian Standards do not exist and cannot issue stickers."
