Hi all,
Was slinging a few messages around last night to Island Drift and we hit on the subject of heading over to "The Rock" for a Weekend.
For the moment there are no details whatsoever about the trip, Ive just put this up to see how many would be interested in going for a ride to KI and stopping there for the weekend?
Due to Daylight Saving and the desire to make the most out of the Sunlight, Im assuming we would get to Cape Jervois on a Friday Arvo/Evening (Ferry Timetable permitting), thusly giving us the most amount of time there?!
Any input is appreciated, would be some nice twisties in getting to Jervois, and I cant remember what KI is like for Riding as i havnt been there since 1990 approx.
What are your views on Camping/Accomidation; personally, Im not setup for touring with Busa, so Im thinking of camping at a Pub or Caravan Park?
Anyways, just putting it out there!

Howdy Zerb, my apolagies as I havnt met you on here before, or out and about for that matter!
Im thinking December at the mo, Im assuming late Dec thru to Feb will be full of Tourists anyways and personally Id rather go when it was quieter!
Check out the links below, it looks like $62.00 return for a Bike and Rider (I assume), theres a Timetable there aswell.

hi Troopmaster
In December 7th to 11th I be in NQLD but after that I am good to go. up to you mate,
like to catch up with the Adelaide crew too.
Hey Zerb,
Best place n time to catchup with most of us is on most Sundays at the "Amberlight Deli" at Lobethal from about 10;30am, most of us head up for Breakfast and a Coffee.
"DAZ, or Greenie" are generally definates in getting up there.
Im a little snowed under with "stuff' at the moment, but i will be getting out on the road again soon enough.

I'll be there sunday but in the car as I have a feeding tube hanging out of my belly ( bit bumpy on the bike ) & we'll have a chat . Weekend sounds great . Caravan /tent/ cabin, happy with ALL .

OK all, after chatting at Lobie today it seems that the majority of us would perfer to go to "The Rock" in January, looks like this may work well for you too Rod!?
So for those who wanted to see the thread, here it is, this posting will have bumped it toward the front again for the moment, take a Bo Peep at the earlier postings with regard to cost of Boat Trip from Cape Jervis.
Island Drift was kind enough to offer the Ponderosa for all of us to pitch a Tent or roll out a swag, although Im very greatfull for "Island's" offer, I must admit that I would prefer an on site Van, Motel Room etc to rest my Carcase of an evening!
Lets get this discussion going as its Christmas Day today Month, and we prolly need to look at making a booking?
