Can I get a restriction exemption to get to the top end?
Double demerit points here still. Its good that the nanny state is saving lives.
Have to admire your effort for a ride like that.

I was under the assumption that a TRE eliminates the timing retardation in the lower 3 gears, that it doesn't touch the speed restricter!
If you FLASH it, you don't need a TRE, or a power commander. Importantly it gives you BETTER power.

Hi Storm, good ride, well done. Travelled many of those roads myself. Only did the Biggenden to Dululu last year, usually visit a mate at Dululu via Mt Morgan instead (I like ranges!).
You're not working at Whaleback are you?
As for the top end restriction, sorry about that, in my last pm I neglected to single that one out. It's straightforward through ECU Editor.
Cheers,
Camel

Hey thanks camel.I shredded the tyre from broome to sand fire roadhouse.the metal treads were out so crawled into headland now after weather cooled to wait for the shop to open to fit a tire.all part of the game.
And nope not in mining. Medical services for aboringinal people in the desert.am also very present in the ADVRIDER forum.clocked approx 30k kms in the deserts of Australia on a yam wr250r. Missed the speed hence the busa. Will let you know when I might ride to Perth so we can play with the ecu. Thanks

tre removes speed limiter in 6th gear.it will redline in 6th with it on.works on all busa that are restricted. i have tested it on the dyno got 319kmh at the wheel out of it on my 1st gen 2 busa .it works by useing 5th gear as a base map for all gears making it compleatly unristricted

the 7700 kms i have done has been very differnt than 'normal riding'
the bike's bearing etc must me truly thermal cycled by now.
reached Newman yesterday as sunday was stuck in sandfire roadhouse 300kms from Broome with a shredded tyre (metal showing,as road temp would ave been over 70deg.
crawled the next 300kms to headland got my spare tyre sourced from katherine fitted and reached home 7700 kms in about 7 days.it was a blast!

Nothing wrong with a standard seat on a Gen II busa. Very comfortable I reckon.
Good riding Storm! I agree with others that a GEN II is not run in till up around 40,000. You will notice as you go how it gradually loosens up.
