Weekend at Wardies 2013

In direct contrast to my better judgement, because it was a blast the last 2 years, and because we'll be too busy for me to run away over Easter . . . lets do it again! Smitten

Easter long weekend at Tallangatta.
Arrive Friday arvo. 29th March (Good Friday)
Go for a blast on Saturday - Loop ride details to be advised. Remember double demerits peoples Knuppel2 "Keep it legal" The last 2 years we've had 100% success with no extra "expenses". The roads around here are just heaven!!
And have a big BBQ and Bullshit session Saturday night.

-This is an equal opportunity weekend . . . Partners are most welcome. If they don't want to ride on the Saturday they can catch us up by car at lunch time with Cathy.

Rooms are $77 each for a twinshare or double.
Unless you have one of those BB2012 "free night's accomodation at Wardies" Yes - time to put it to good use before it expires!! Lol3

Already getting inquiries from other bike groups over the Easter Weekend, so please indicate your interest

shots of last one . . or was that the one before??

Well I can't do that week end at all. HAVE to work.

But I was pondering using my BB2012 "free night's accomodation at Wardies" sometime soon.

Nigel just called in on his way through to the Island to say G'day. Reckon's put his name down, sounded like he'd had a great ride up the Omeo Highway doing all the backroads.

I took the bus (that's the big one full of people - not the Haya"bus")
over Mt Hotham, to Omeo, onto the Blue Duck, and back over Falls creek 2 days ago. Roads are open on the weekends.
This would make a great day ride. Biker What thoughts?

Less than 2 weeks away now.

A loop ride to the "Blue Duck" is anywhere between 295 and 412km depending on which way. (3-4 hours) I've often done the longer one - Bright - Hotham etc. Did this with Sydney Riders group 2 years ago, pretty easy day.

For a bit of extra I generally add a quick squirt down Omeo to Bruthen, top up and retrace back to Omeo. ( A pretty easy day ride for one, but too far for a group ride. )

My preference would be the shortest route (284km - about 3 hrs riding time) however there is 13km of dirt. Would that be a problem with anyone? Be a pretty "quiet ride" bugger all traffic - even over Easter. - did this the other other day and saw 3 cars in 3 hrs!!

There are a few different excellent loop rides around here. We'll discuss on Friday night. Pi_thumbsup
